Lee Gelderbloem has been playing piano since she was 8 years old, and after many years of paying her musical dues, has blossomed into a beautiful, talented, and professional singer, pianist, and keyboard player.

A graduate of UCT’s South African College of Music, Lee studied under jazz masters like Dr Andrew Lilley and Professor Mike Campbell. She has also been fortunate to be taught by French vocalist Deborah Tanguy, as well as Natascha Roth and Abigail Petersen. Finalist of the 2008 FMR/Pick ‘n Pay Travel Awards, in 2009 she travelled to Ohio, USA to attend a Jazz Vocal camp lead by the grammy-nominated vocal group, The New York Voices. There she was tutored by all four of The New York Voices and was asked to perform a song as an opening to their concert.

Lee performs regularly with her own trio and quartet at many jazz clubs and other venues in and around Cape Town, including The Winchester Mansions, Catharina’s at Steenberg, Bertha’s, the prestigious One & Only Hotel, Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Restaurant, Brio Restaurant and the Cape Royale hotel. Musical Director of many pop shows performed at the Roxy Revue Theatre at Grandwest Casino, Lee’s performance experience extends through many genres. She has had the privilege of being hired as a session vocalist, in various studios, and she works regularly for SAMA award-winning producer, Theo Crous.
